Gestern hab ich mich extra bei flickr.com angemeldet um so ein tolles Fotofenster für die Webseite zu bekommen. Beim Einbinden bin ich ganz schön auf die Schnauze gefallen, es hat nicht geklappt. Abends hab ich dann meinen Mann gefragt und er hat herausgefunden welches Problem vorhanden war und wie es zu lösen ist.
Das Problem: JavaScript und das von Blogsome benutzte PHP Template System nutzen die geschweiften Klammern { } für unterschiedliche Funktionen. Die einfache Lösung: Einfach das Script in {literal} ... {/literal} setzen (und für den Fall, dass css genutzt wird, das auch). Wer noch mehr lesen möchte, liest hier or hier. Ach, vielleicht ist dieser Trick auch für WordPress-Nutzer hilfreich.

I signed up at flickr.com yesterday just to get one of these nice badges you can integrate into your website. But I didn’t get it to work properly, to say the truth it didn’t work at all. Last night I asked my husband about it and he was able to find out what the problem was and how to fix it.
The problem is that JavaScript and Blogsome’s PHP template system both use { } in different ways. There is an easy way out: Put your script (and for that matter, also the css you have to integrate) in {literal} ... {/literal}! If you need some more reading, look here or here. Since Blogsome is based on WordPress this could be interesting there, too.
