Frühstück

Der große Tag ist gekommen - heute ist mein 31. Geburtstag. Ich habe einen entspannten Vormittag mit Freundinnen beim Frühstück verbracht. Schade nur, dass meine beste Freundin nicht dabei sein konnte, ihre Tochter ist unerwartet krank geworden. In der Mittagspause (die etwa 45 Minuten dauerte) habe ich gleich mein Geburtstagsgeld umgesetzt und eine Riesenbestellung (zur Auswahl) bei amazon (ich werde berichten) aufgegeben sowie mir ein flickr pro account gegönnt.

Nebensache: Geht es Euch auch so, dass ihr früher mit dem Begriff “beste Freundin” wesentlich häufiger und lockerer umgegangen seid als heute? Ich bin gerade eben drüber gestolpert und habe mich dann bewußt dafür entschieden, weil es so ist.

It is my 31st birthday today. I have spent a relaxed morning with some friends at breakfast. Unfortunately my best friend’s daughter got sick last night so she could not be there. During the break (which lasted for a short 45 minutes) I spent some of my money at amazon (I am going to report) and upgraded my flickr account to a pro account.

On a quick side note: Did you also use the term “best friend” more casually and more frequently in the past than today? I just thought about that when writing it and then specifically used it. Because that is the way it is.
