Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf unseren Urlaub. Um Linus die lange Wartezeit etwas zu verdeutlichen, habe ich nach der zigsten Frage diese Karte gemacht. Ich bin völlig erstaunt über die Wirkung: zunächst war die Karte eher uninteressant, dann fiel ihm dieses tolle Muster auf. Die Fragen nach dem Abfahrtstag wurden weniger und dafür nahm das tägliche Abkreuzen einen wichtigen Raum ein. Vor kurzem übernahm Linus die Kreuzelei - was für geniale Kreuze dabei entstehen! Seit gestern werden die verbliebenen Tage gezählt - noch ein kleiner Lerneffekt. 7 Felder sind noch frei.

We are already looking forward to our vacation. To visualize the long time till we actually leave, I made this little card for Linus. I am very astonished at its effect: in the beginning the card was simply acknowledged, then he noticed the wonderful structure. The questions when we will finally be leaving started to decrease and ticking off each day took a place as a little daily ritual. A couple of days ago Linus started to tick off the days by himself - it is so much fun watching him concentrate on the small task. Yesterday he began counting the remaining days - another learning effect. Seven boxes are still open.
