Inspired by this idea from Jessica at gonzomama knits I decided to adapt her idea and do something similar. I thought of a great name last night, only to find out this morning that I was copying very close to the original.

From now on, I would like to think of friday as photo friday, taking one of my pictures and finding a matching quote.

Das war aber mal eine schwere Geburt. Ich hatte so viele Ideen, aber immer, wenn ich einen Partner zum Fotografieren gehabt hätte, hab ichs vergessen.

Heute habe ich die Karte wiedergefunden und kurzen Prozeß gemacht: Das ist der einzige Kreis, den ich mit meinem Körper machen und dabei gleichzeitig auch noch fotografieren kann. Andere Kreise könnte man mit beiden Armen, einem Arm, den Beinen machen, mit beiden Daumen und Zeigefingern. Interessant finde ich auch die Kreise, die bereits fertig am Körper zu finden sind …

What a long time this took to get done! I had a lot of ideas, but every time there was someone to take pictures, I simply forgot all about it.

Today I found the card once again and just took a picture of the only circle that I can do with my body and still take a picture of it. Other circles could be made with both arms, just one arm, the legs, two thumbs and the index fingers. There are also some ready made circles to be found …

Der Frühling ist da! Wir sind ständig draußen in der Natur und genießen die Sonne und die frische Luft. Darum enstehen viele Fotos und die zeige ich Euch heute mal!

Spring finally got here! We are constantly outside exploring nature and enjoying the sun and the fresh air. Lots of picture taking is going on here that I want to share with you today!

Mein angeheirateter Großonkel ist Maler. Das Foto meiner Hyazynthe hat ihn inspiriert und er hat mir dann seine Interpretation (Aquarell) geschickt. Ich bin total begeistert wie sehr sich die beiden Bilder ähneln und wie sehr auch wieder nicht.

Er hat angeboten immer mal wieder eine meiner Fotografien malerisch umzusetzen. Ich bin schon stark am Überlegen, welches Bild sich denn dafür eignet. Momentan entstehen ziemlich langweilige und aussagelose Bilder - der Frühling muss kommen. Ich kann bei diesem Licht nicht richtig kreativ werden.

Außerdem hoffe ich, dass im Frühling auch die Lebensgeister meiner Kinder wieder gesund werden. Momentan schnarchen die beiden um die Wette, der eine auf dem Sofa, der andere auf meinem Bauch.

My great-uncle-in-law is an artist. He was inspired by my photo swap picture and interpreted the theme in aquarel. I am really fascinated how both pictures are the same and how much they are not.

I also hope that spring puts back some life into my kids healing their immune system, it feels like they have been sick forever. As I write this they are both napping - one on the couch, the other one on my stomach.

Diese Bild war am Dienstag in meinem Briefkasten! Es ist das Bild, das meine photo swap Partnerin für mich gemacht hat. Thema des Swaps war simplicity - ich habe mich sehr über das Bild gefreut, danke. Dummerweise war nichts (kein Text, keine Website, nichts) dabei, außer der Absenderadresse. Ich würde mich nämlich gerne persönlich bedanken.

Mein Foto ging an Katy und ist dort auch schon angekommen. Ich bin froh, dass es offensichtlich gut gefällt. Da fiel mir ein Stein vom Herzen, die Interpretation des Themas und dann das Motiv zu finden sowie gut zu fotografieren ist sehr schwer und auch sehr subjektiv.

Look what I had in my mailbox on Tuesday! It is the photo from my photo swap partner. The theme of the swap was simplicity - thank you very much for the picture. Unfortunately there was nothing with it, so I only have the postal address. I would have loved to say thanks via email.

Diese wunderbare Blume (vorne) ist die erste Bastelarbeit, die Linus aus dem Kindergarten mitgebracht hat. Sie wurde mir am Donnerstag mit einem geflüsterten: “Ich hab Dich lieb!” überreicht. Und diese schönen Blumen habe ich von Micha bekommen.

The wonderful flower (in the front) is the first project Big L brought home from kindergarten. It is great - it was given to me with a whispered “I love you”. This is what hubby came home with.
